It’s here! It’s finally here! After
twelve two long years, the election is finally here! No more attack ads! No more debates! No more Big Bird or binders full of women! For the love of God, no more Big Bird or binders full of women.
If you haven’t already and are registered to do so, go vote! When you get home, you can be a freak like me and stay up all night eagerly/anxiously/on-suicide-watch looking at returns, or you can watch a movie! (This is Festival of Films, after all.)
Our main site has a selection of free documentaries covering politics and social issues, which you can peruse. If you need some comic relief after this odyssey of a campaign, why not watch a comedy movie? I recommend this year’s hilarious The Campaign, as well as the biting satire, Bulworth.
What are your thoughts, dear readers? Do you have a favourite political film? Do you plan to watch any movies to distract yourself from Election Day? Are you just glad this whole sordid ordeal is over? Sound off in the comments below!
