You’re probably assuming that box of tissues is for all the women out there in search of the next cheesy romance film. Think again fellas! Many a men admitted to shedding a few tears for the heartbreaking film Listen to Your Heart starring Alexia Rasmussen, Kent Moran, and the delightful (but not in this film) Cybill Shepherd.
Kent Moran plays a struggling songwriter trying to make it big in New York City. He soon falls in love with a wealthy girl, who happens to be hearing-impaired. Despite her love for him, she can’t help but still feel torn because of her controlling mother who thinks they are above him. Might sound like every other romance story, but you can’t deny incredible acting and the passion between the characters. I promise it’s not as predictable as you might think, offering quite the little twist at the end. Unlike major Hollywood romances, this one has actual substance and a story line that will pull you in and keep you there until the last seconds of the film.
